Assistant Accountant

  • To oversee the day to day finance operations and ensure compliance of company policies and procedures
  • Oversee the month-end closing cycle and review all the journal posting, balance sheet items.
  • Perform monthly gross profit, Sales mix, COGS & expenses analysis.
  • Provide support to the operation team on queries pertaining to P&L and inventory matters.
  • Ensure the completeness and accuracy of revenue and cost of sales.
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Coordinate with the company secretary & insurance company.
  • Support HOD for budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Assist HOD in supervising the accounting team by developing a strong control environment and improve various processes to achieve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Supporting superior by handling ad hoc projects or assignments as and when required.

  • Degree in Accountancy or professional qualification in ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in a similar position as a Senior Executive, preferably with working experience in the F&B industry.
  • Required language(s):Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin
  • Able to handle a full set of accounts and work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Meticulous, resourceful, dedicated with a positive working attitude, Good commitment to deadlines.
  • Conform to policies, procedures & statutory requirements including accounting, auditing, and internal control.
  • A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, proficient in Excel is a MUST.
