Chief Human Resource Officer

Our company is looking to add knowledge and skills into our existing HR function as we enter the next phase of our growth. As the Chief Human Resource Officer, your primary objectives are:

  • act as a strategic business advisor to management and department heads regarding key organisational and management issues.
  • recommend strategies and establish policies that support the Company's long term business plans especially in the areas of talent management, performance management, training, employee benefits and compensation.
  • lead and supervise the department in order to ensure that service levels of HR related tasks and duties are met.

Daily tasks would include:

  • providing leadership and guidance to the HR function that is responsible for recruitment, talent development, leave management, employee data and HR documentation, labour relations and compensation.
  • developing, reviewing, and administering HR policies, processes, and programs in the areas of recruitment, onboarding, learning & development, compensation & benefits, performance management, and exit management.
  • ensuring accurate, effective and efficient management of HR-related data.
  • providing assistance with annual manpower planning and budgeting, including resource planning for the entire business.
  • develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans that meet current and future human capital needs which includes compensation and benefits that are competitive and cost effective.
  • working closely with department leaders on succession planning, talent management, and development.
  • acting as the HR subject matter expert and ensure that the Company's HR processes and policies are aligned with regulatory requirements.
  • identifying and designing relevant employee engagement activities that help to build a cohesive and high-performing workforce.
  • developing proposals for compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost-effective.
  • Support the management with the fair management of employee grievances

The ideal candidate we are looking for would have the following qualifications:

  • at least 15 years of general HR experience with in depth knowledge of key functional areas of HR (recruitment, payroll, employee relations, labour relations, learning and development, etc).
  • degree / diploma in human resource management or related fields.
  • thorough knowledge of Malaysian labour laws and regulations.
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • highly developed EQ skills demonstrated by excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills whilst adhering to high ethical standards.
  • results-focussed and hands-on type of leader who is able to work independently in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
  • highly organised and adept at priority setting.
